Fred Bergendorff and Dr. Bernadine Cruz co-host weekly one hour show, The Pet Place every Saturday morning from 6:30 - 7:30am.  Fred Bergendorff, who has hosted The Pet Place TV Show on KDOC-TV since 1990, will host the weekly one hour program along with Dr. Bernadine Cruz, one of the leading veterinarians in the Southland.
 

Each show will feature interviews with special guests and celebrities, discussions of pet-related topics, and Dr Cruz answering listeners' email questions.   The show will also include a discussion on adoptable pets from that weeks' television show, a pet health or behavior topic introduced by Dr.Cruz.

The Pet Place TV show began in Southern California 16 years ago.  The focus of the Pet Place is getting homeless animals adopted and advocating responsible pet ownership.  In both areas the show has been extremely successful- getting more than 160,000 animals adopted from 45 area shelters and rescue groups, and airing more than 1200 features on some aspect of pet care.
